Romantic Ceremony "sight"

The Ingenhuett on High… Part Two

So if you aren’t already excited about The Ingenhuett on High, get ready for this…
In addition to having an amazing wedding venue, we also have land for an outdoor ceremony!  All you lovely brides that want the romance of an outdoor ceremony in a field with the river as you backdrop, I have just the spot for you.  Your ceremony can be held in a quaint little field nestled in between a pecan grove and the banks of the

Guadalupe River.  If that’s not enough, I’ll throw in an old railroad tressle.  It doesn’t get much cooler than this!

The fields are well manicured by the resident goats and cows.  They are friendly so they may join your ceremony.  If that happens, just ask them to moooove.

The best part about this is the land is only a 10 minute drive from the venue.  If you drive like me, it’s a five minute drive!

Here are some sneak peek pictures of your soon to be ceremony location courtesy of Kurtis Kronk Photography.  He is amazing as always!  Keep in
mind, this will be even more beautiful when everything is in bloom!

Just to give you a little history, The Ingenhuett was built in 1881 by Alfred Giles, a British architect.  He built many historical structures in San Antonio and Kendall county including courthouses, and private residences, including The Lambermont in San Antonio.  He also designed the Mother House and Convent at Incarnate Word College; Daniel Sullivan’s Stable and Coach House at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens; the 1909 addition to the Menger Hotel; the Steves Homestead in the King William district; and, at Fort Sam Houston, the Infantry Post Barracks, Officers’ Quarters, Staff Post; and Commanding General’s Quarters.
In 1867, Peter J. Ingenhuett set up the mercantile store with his brother-in-law, Charles Karger. The partnership fell through and Paul Ingenhuett bought the business from his father in 1891 for $20,000. As the business grew it moved to High Street in 1880 and expanded to 2,500 square feet in 1900.  The store once housed a band and post office. The original mail slots and bank vault are still there today.
A Fire ravaged the store in 2006 and devastated the community.  On Dec. 20, 2010 Craig and Jeanine Leeder bought the building and restored it.  They have been holding private parties there the past few years but have decided to open to the public.

Flower Girls set the stage!!!!

So everyone is always following the latest trends in gowns, and bridesmaid
dresses but can we get some love for the flower girls???!!!  In my opinion, they
play one of the most important roles, they announce the bride! And some throw
bigger tantrums than the brides (NOT COUNTRY SUGAR BRIDES OF COURSE)!

As my husband always says; look good, feel good, play good and I
think the same thing applies to walking down the aisle no matter how small you
are.  My dear friend Nelly and I worked together in New York designing
children's cloths.  I did the skulls, flames, and everything boy and she did all
the sweet, frilly, girlie stuff.  She is great at what she does and decided to
go out on her own.  She established her own line Nellystella and now LOVE by
Nellystella, a line of special occasion dresses.  They are precious and perfect
for a sweet little flower girl who doesn't want the same old, same old.  My
flower girls wore her dresses and in my opinion, they were to die for.

In April, I was in Chicago and went into BHLDN to find her line carried
exclusively, not to mention the "Natalie" dress!  Here we are (me, the dress,
and my baby bump)!

LET THERE BE LIGHT

Perfect evening in Boerne to send wish lanterns off.  We passed them out during dinner so out guests could write their wishes for the happy couple on them.  Later in the evening we heading out to send them off.  The weather was perfect!  It's not often we get to do these with the burn ban and venue rules!

We wish Rita and Sean all the best!!! xoxo
