I miss chores

Sitting on the couch last night, completely exhausted from the day I had a not so random thought. I MISS CHORES.  Now why on earth would I say that?  Well think about it for a minute. When did You have chores? You last had chores when you were not the sole individual responsible for keeping up the household.  Instead of making sure that the well oiled machine ran like a tiger...YOU were responsible only for your distinct, small, carved out portion of the work.  Once you completed that work for the day or the week, you were done!

You could walk away with this huge sense of accomplishment.  I remember something like this:
Look at that guy on the left...He is so excited his sister just finished the dishes. He just wants to dance! She cleaned those bowls like no-body's business.

Now, it seems the work really never ends.  Those times do not come very often that you sit down, breathe and say "It's done, I have nothing left to do.  I'm just gonna kick back and relax now".  I have discovered you now have to make those moments and you have to give yourself realistic expectations.  No one is around to give me chores, so I have to give them to myself.  That way if I set at atleast one thing to take care of tonight...once I complete that I can have my own mini celebration (I'll dress my husband up like the guy on the left).

Little goals.
Little celebrations.
Less Stress.
