DIY tutu {san antonio wedding planner}

a casual affair, a handmade wedding, an adorable flower girl? these all call for thinking outside the box for all of your details, including your flower girl attire. i remember when my aunt patty asked me to be a flower girl.  i was beyond excited, i felt like this was my time to prove to the entire town and all of my family that i was in fact, a true princess. i was seriously convinced i must have been left in the boondocks by some danish queen who had no other choice...for her sworn enemy declared to take my life in war.
true...no.
inspiring...yes!

if you are looking for a whimsical, customizable, personal, and handmade touch for your wedding...
throw in the most adorable tutu ever.

supplies:
- elastic headband or a piece of elastic cut to fit your flower girl's waist...ends tied together
- 2 (6" wide) rolls of tulle (colors of your choice of course)
- ribbon (optional)

step one: to get goin', stretch the elastic band around a wide book or chair.

step two: cut a 12-14" length of tulle from each roll and pair the two pieces.

step three: loop the two pieces onto the elastic band as shown. (i'm telling you, this is easy) as you go, slide the pieces along the headband and bunch them together so there are no gaps in the tutu. add ribbon in as desired.

step four:  enjoy :)
