texas goodie bag 2011 {san antonio wedding planner}

Every once in a while, we look back at the prior year to see what we were talking about here on the Country Sugar blog. Last year we posed the question..."What goes in a Texas goodie bag?" Well of course we have new faves and loves this year...so let's see what the Country Sugar team would load into a Texas Goodie Bag! We have so many favorites, but we decided to feature our top five!

1. A big ole helpin' of Al's Gourmet Nuts. If you want to find an office full of happy planners, then drop these off by the barrel. We are normally chips and salsa girls, so who knew we'd be addicted instantly to these? The best part is the different flavors they have. Everything from cinnamon pecan, gaujillo honey, port wine, german chocolate, lavender, and even peppermint! The cinnamon pecan are our absolute favorite around here. We have fought over the last few...just kidding, well kinda.

2. A bottle of Texas bourbon from Ranger Creek Brewery & Distillery. Handcrafted in San Antonio, Ranger Creek's .36, a small barreled bourbon, is so much more fun than putting in the classic bottle of wine!

3. A Tiny Pie. Not only are the flippin' adorable, but they melt in your mouth and have you begging for more {literally begging, we begged, it wasn't pretty}. You can add cute little tags to these to coordinate with your wedding weekend and tie everything together. It's also a mom and daughter duo that make these...we love that.

4. Farmhouse Fresh Whoopie! Shea Butter Cream. We tried to write up something to do this product justice but failed! We found that the team that makes this slice of heaven said it so much better on

"This Shea Butter whip is a jarful of joy! Lightly scented with scrumptious white velvet cream and moist layer cake, it is hard to resist as a start to each morning... or as a sweet farewell to each day. So deliciously scented it's taste-tested as often as it's used (we do not recommend this!) Inspired by the famous comfort desserts -Whoopie Pies. Farmers would find these handmade creamy cake-like delights in their lunchbox and shout "Whoopie!" We hope this every day cream becomes your every day delight, too... "

5. Give them something to brew up the morning after your wedding. They are going to be worn out after bustin' stellar dance moves all night long. Do you know how sore you are after doing the worm for a few hours? Our coffee pick is the "Haus Blend" from Gruene Coffee Haus. Warning, make sure you give yourself some extra time to sit down and enjoy a cup of joe when you pick up all your coffee. You will want to stay there for hours...
