Hamner’s sentimental comment on Alex: Alex has been my best man since we were 14; I am beyond fortunate to have a best friend for this many years who is so much better than me. Fernando, Groomsman
Alias(es): Gaby
Unfortunate habits: 1.) Watching subpar TV programming on the couch in the Mer-man position. 2.) saying “Cheers” at the end of telephone conversations.
Hamner’s sentimental comment on Gaby: Time and again Gaby has delivered true and unwavering support, guidance and friendship. If I live to be 100 I won’t have enough time to pay him back for all he has done for me. Gaby is perhaps the most selfless man I know and is the epitome of a true friend.
Outrageous achievements: 1.) Duping an otherwise successful New York ad agency into letting him “work” from home 2,000 miles from the office. 2.) Managing to stay out of the dreaded friend-zone and swindling Christine into marrying him.
Gaby’s gift to society: Oliver and Henry
John, Groomsman

John, Groomsman
Alias: Johnny Wadd
Zodiac sign: Scorpio
Collegiate highlights: 1.)Demanding that Charlotte say “The password” before he would speak with her on the telephone. 2.) Never paid an ATM surcharge fee.
What his friends give thanks for: That his two children, Hannah and Matthew, look like their sainted mother, Charlotte.
Fictitious Holland sob story: The poor and destitute Holland family was forced to sell their furniture so that young John, their first born, could attend college.
Hamner’s sentimental comment on John: Perhaps it is our penchant for scoundrelish behavior or that we were born in the same city a day apart, but whatever the reason, John and I were fast friends. Our loyalty to each other (and Stuart) was certainly aided by pledging Beta together, but there is no doubt our lives would somehow intertwine. John’s natural charisma is balanced by his sense of duty to his friends and family. If a friend is ever in a tight spot, John will be there to help; no question.
Worst decision ever: Selling the boat.
Best decision ever: Selling the boat.
