Indoor? Outdoor? Hotel ballroom? Rustic Texas ranch? These are just a few of the endless wedding venue possibilities our brides have to choose from. The list goes on and on! We recently discovered a hidden gem right in the heart of San Antonio…The San Antonio Botanical Garden. If you haven’t paid a visit to the Garden yet, you are missing out. It is absolutely breath-taking!
I took a trip out to the Garden to meet with Marisa, the Events Coordinator. The sun was shining… Birds were chirping… We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to stroll through all the different gardens. Marisa took me on a tour of all the BEAUTIFUL rental spots the Garden has to offer. As we walked and talked, she answered a few FAQs about planning your wedding day celebration in the garden and also shared a couple fun facts about the this amazing venue. Here is what she had to say...
Does the Garden offer a ‘Plan B’ indoor option for pesky weather conflicts?
Unfortunately, no. However, we do allow the bride and groom to bring in tents. What size weddings does the Garden accommodate?
We can accommodate weddings as small as 40 people all the way to large parties consisting of 200-250 people. We offer several different rental site options, ranging from small, standing room only areas to large, sit-down ceremony and reception options.Does the Garden hold multiple weddings on the same day?
Yes and no. For daytime ceremonies, yes, we will book multiple weddings. For evening ceremonies, no. When the couple reserves the Garden for an evening ceremony, it is exclusively theirs for the night!Does the Garden have a preferred vendor list?
Yes! We have worked with several different vendors throughout the years and have found that some are not as good as others. We strive to offer the most perfect day for the bride and groom. Therefore, we have put together a list of stellar vendors for the couple to choose from. Here are some Garden fun facts:
“The San Antonio Botanical Garden uses recycled water to run their fountains. As many of you know, Texas can be plagued by severe drought at times. Using recycled water allows the Garden to run their stunning fountains year round, regardless of potential water restrictions.”photo courtesy of sabot.org |
