I decided to sit down with Susan of Summer Skin - Mobile Spray Tanning and get the skinny on her business.  With weddings and parties and New Year's coming up, I've been thinking about getting a spray tan...but of course I had a few questions first:  {read to the bottom because Susan is doing a give-away!}

So I've had a spray tan before, but what is the difference between and an airbrush tan and one that you get at a tanning salon?

A spray tan can be applied with either an airbrush or a spray gun, either piece of equipment will produce excellent results. However,there is a difference between a qualified and experienced spray tan technician applying the solution and a spray tan booth, similar to the mystic or magic tan booths, found in many salons. The results in a spray tan booth are often uneven and unnatural since the solution is not customized to the individuals skin type,it often produces an orange tint and the spray mist is usually not as fine as a professional spray gun.

I do not want to look like a pumpkin! Is this going to make me "orange?"

Absolutely not, if applied on properly by a qualified technician and matched correctly to the clients skin type.
So you really could come to my house? How convenient! Will the spray get on my walls?

I certainly can come to your home, My business is totally mobile. No, I set up a pop up tan tent to eliminate overspray onto your walls.

I hear you throw tanning parties...I LOVE parties! How does this work?

Tanning parties are fun, all you have to do is gather a group of your girlfriends, mix in a little music maybe a couple nice bottles of wine, appetizers and relax while Summer Skin professionally sets up the necessary equipment at you event to give you an amazing off the beach tan. I can make the spray tan area so discrete as necessary so that everyone feels comfortable and as an added bonus, the hostess tans free and everyone else can take advantage of a discounted rate.
