It's finally here..yes FRIDAY! It's like music to my ears and before you begin enjoying your much needed weekend I happened to come across the most ideal project that I just couldn't wait to share with all you DIY lovers out there! It's the perfect divine decor for your signature day and is quite simple to create. Are you ready for this?? Absolutely precious Wine Glass Candle Lampshades! I fell in LOVE with the idea and I'm sure you will too! Such a unique concept that can transform any ordinary table into a whimsical candlelit setting. And of course add your own touch of style and glam by using bright fun colors, screen-print, paint them or spice it up with some decorative accents (floral, beads,pictures, cutouts) anything your little heart desires!
Here are a few things you'll need~
* 8 -1/2" x 11" sheets of vellum (one per lamp)
* Scissors
* Decorative bladed scissors
* Decorative paper punch
* Glue pen
* Wine glasses
* Tealights or LED battery operated tealight
* Candle putty (Floral clay)
So go on give it a try~
Download and print out this lampshade pattern. (or try creating your own!)
Trace the pattern onto your vellum sheet. Cut out the shape with your regular scissors or use decorative bladed scissors along the bottom edge to add another element to the shade.
You can also use a paper punch to punch holes evenly or haphazardly throughout the shade.
Using the glue pen, apply a thin line of glue to one straight end. Wrap the other end over the glued end, and adhere together, forming the shade.
Secure the tealight with the candle putty, and set the lampshade on top of your glass.
Ta-Daa your done! A little simple yet fresh idea that adds that extra elegant glow to your wedding motif~
